London Travel Blog – Day 2

Day 2 was a very busy day. We started by going to Madame Tussaud’s in the morning, I have never been there before and we were both very excited to go there. To get there from our hotel we were staying at we went on the Tube, now I didn’t think much of it before going to London, however it was one of the highlights of the trip for me, as I have never been on the underground before. Safe to say I definitely looked like a tourist that day as had no idea what I was doing but I had a fun time.

After a fun little ride on the underground we got to Madame Tussaud’s and got to look around, I had a lot of fun taking funny photos with the figures as you can see below.

Also we went on the spirit of London ride there which did the history of London and I loved and we went in the 4D cinema! 4D it was so cool I never done that before and can’t even explain it really.

After Madame Tussaud’s we went for a stroll around Hyde park which was very pretty and relaxing to get some fresh air, we then went down to Oxford Street to do some shopping.

On the evening we went for dinner at TGI Fridays, the food was very good and discovered a new favourite restaurant.

And the finishes off day 2 of my London adventure.

London Travel Blog – Day 1

Earlier this week on Tuesday 28th March me and my best friend Eve got on a train and traveled down to London to stay on holiday for a few days. I will say I was very excited as I haven’t gone on a holiday  for quite a few years, because of this I was also very nervous (was sure I forgot something).

We got there and check into our hotel in the early afternoon which was good as we still had time to make the most of the rest of the day. Once we got all unpacked we set off on what was meant to be a little walk around to get our bearing, but turned into a full site seeing trip (we got carried away). We saw the London eye, Buckingham Palace and Big Ben. We also walked across the bridge where the attack happened only the week before, it was so moving to see all the flowers and messages left along there.

After our little site seeing adventure we went to Ripley’s Believe it or not. Ripley’s was so good we were shocked of how big and how much there was to look at there! I will admit I did get a little scared in parts (but I get scared easily). Also that evening we popped into M&M world again I was not expecting it to be so big (4 floors!), but loved it so much chocolate.

After all of this we went back to the room to rest up for tomorrows adventure.

OOTD: Movie Night

Last night after work my bestie and I went to the cinema to see Beauty and the Beast! It is safe to say we were very excited to go and see this movie we both have loved Disney since we were little kids.

Of course the film did not disappoint if you haven’t already seen it I highly recommend it, it was the best film I have seen in a while. The film was such a feel good film where you leave in a good mood, which I love (not a fan of scary films). Got to say I had to try really hard not to sing along to the song throughout as they were so catchy. Being as when I was younger I never saw this Disney film, shocking I know, I didn’t know what to expect other than the basic plot. So I wouldn’t be able to say how it compared to the original but loved it.

Below is the outfit I decided to wear to the cinema.

For my outfit I wore my grey skinny jeans with my over the knee boots both from New Look, and my black jumper with roses on the shoulder which is from Asda George.

Spring Nails

Last weekend I had a nail appointment, and because it is March and it is making me excited for Spring I switched out the usual darker colours for nude nails.

Nude nails are my favourite, I love how they look and I paired it with gold glitter. I love the idea that me and the lovely lady doing my nails came up with, with one nail with glitter on and then it just on the tip of one of the others. As you can see below.

These nails and the slightly warmer weather (I wore sunglasses for the first time this week!) is making me so happy and ready for Spring, which is one of my favourite seasons. Due to the sunny weather and pretty flowers, it is also my cats Lily’s favourite as well as it is warmer when she goes outside to play.

Hair care: 2017

Hair care is one of those things that I haven’t really talked about on this blog before, but is something I have become without even realising very interested in. I am currently trying to get my hair in good condition and hoping for it to grow a little bit more. Due to this I am always trying to try new products to try and find new favourites, so here are my current favourite products that I am using.

Current hair care products I am loving

For shampoo and conditioner, these are the products that actually inspired this whole blog post as I have finally found a ‘no frizz’ shampoo and conditioner that works for me. My hair is straight ish but gets very frizzy which I don’t like, but this actually helps. I have been using is the John Frieda Frizz ease flawlessly straight.

For hair masks I use the Aussie 3 minute miracle. I have loved this one for a while actually and use it about once a week. As well as this I also use an hair oil in the ends of my hair also about once a week, but not on the same day as the mask. The hair oil I use is the Avon rapid rescue hair serum as I am trying to keep my hair in some what good condition.

Before I dry my hair or style it using heat tools in general use the Tresemme heat defence spray, this has been a favourite of mine for years.

This concludes the hair care products I am currently using, I try not to use too many products and have too many steps, just for the reason that I know I won’t keep up with it.

The Furry Friend Tag!

Today I decided to do a blog post more about Lily than myself, so I chose to do the furry friend tag so you can get to know her a little bit more.

  1. What is your pet’s name?

Her name is Lily.

     2. What kind of pet is it and what breed?

She is a cat and a domestic long hair.

   3. How long have you had your pet friend?

I have had Lily for 7 years now.

  4. How did you get your pet?

We got Lily from a cat rescue centre that is local to us.

5. How old is you pet?

7 years old but she still acts like a kitten (which I love).

    6. What is your favourite memory with your pet?

The day she came home has got to be my favourite memory, that little kitten had me playing ball with her for hours, which I loved just as much as her to be honest.

7. What are some quirky things about your pets personality?

This is one of my favourite things about Lily actually but, she is a very bossy madam. That cats definitely knows she is in charge.

   8. What does your relationship with you pet mean to you?

Lily is my best friend and has been since the day we got her home.

9. What are some of your favourite past times with you pet?

We like to watch TV together and she actually watches and even has a favourite show which is The Big Bang Theory.

    10. What are nicknames you call your pet?

This cat has loads but the main one is Lily loo though.

And that is the end of the furry friend tag!

Classic Red Nails

This morning I had a nail appointment scheduled to get my nails redone. I always look forward to the Saturdays when I am getting my nails done. It is such a lovely way to start the weekend I feel.

As normal I got shellac on my natural nails, this time I went for classic red. Yes to match my new car that was mentioned in my previous blog post. Sad, I know but I couldn’t help myself. I also have not had just classic red nails with no glitter in a while and love it. Of course I had some gems on as I never seem to be able to just have a colour and that’s it. I always get too excited in there.

And here they are…

Life Update: New Car

Last weekend on Sunday 5th February the day after my birthday my parents and I went to a car dealers to look at a mini that I saw earlier in the week. Being honest I didn’t go thinking I was getting a new car I just wanted to go and see just in case. Although in shock it was a good car and was very pretty.

I arranged to pick it up the next Saturday. That week in between was an emotional week for me as I was trading in my first car which was an older silver mini that I had  for nearly 2 years and I was sad to see it go. But at the same time excited for my new car as it was time for a new car.

Yesterday I went back to pick it up and getting out of my old mini was very hard, as me and that car have been through a lot together. I spent yesterday afternoon just driving my new car on journeys that I would normally do to get used to it for example where I work. The more these past few days that I have been driving it the more I love it.

And here it is!

new car!

I am looking forward to the new adventures and memories I will have with this car, just like I did with my first one.

My 23rd Birthday

Last weekend I turned 23 (I feel old). As we have done for the last few previous years my best friend and I go for a meal the night before which was a Friday night this year. We went to Frankies and Benny’s as we have also done for the last few years. I always enjoy it as it is nice after a long week to have a chat and a good meal with a friend and it was the perfect way to start off my birthday weekend.

For my outfit I wore this checked dress and tights as it is February after all, with my Pandora locket I got for Christmas.

This year for my birthday, I got Pandora earrings which are the birthstone earrings. I also got chocolates for Thornton’s and as I am writing this I still have some left (promise) and a River Island gift card which is one of my favourite shops. As well as a cute best friends bracelet off my best friend which I love.

On my actual birthday in the morning I went shopping and afterwards went to the Little Dessert shop with my Mom for the first time. I have heard so many things and have been wanting to go for a while, so was very excited. I had the Oreo waffle and it was amazing but so big, I was very full after!

On the night I went out for a birthday meal with my family and it is safe to say I was quite tired after all that.

But I had an amazing birthday!

OOTD: Shopping Outfit

Yesterday my best friend and I went on a shopping trip to a shopping centre just over half an hour away from where we live. Which due to where it is I don’t tend to go that often … actually I can’t remember when the last time I went. So I was pretty excited!

Going on girly shopping trips is one of my favourite ways to spend a Saturday afternoon. Just walking around the shops and having a good catch up and a gossip with an old friend.

For my outfit I wore my over the knee boots which I am obsessed with and don’t actually wear enough (mainly because it takes a while to get them on). I then wore my favourite pair of skinny jeans and a black jumper with this lace up detailing which I thought was quite pretty. I wanted to keep the rest of the outfit simple so the focus is on the boots.
