ootd: Easter Sunday

happy easter

Happy Easter!

Besides from Christmas, Easter is one of my favourite holidays for the opposite reasons of why I love Christmas. I love how relaxed it is. I mean at our house anyway, it is a weekend we spend together as a family. Due to work schedules that doesn’t happen a lot and just relax over a 4 day bank holiday weekend. During this we have chocolate Easter eggs that we would have bought for each other the weekend or two before there’s no stress around it.

So far over the weekend, I have gotten chance to rest and have a lie in, as well as spend some time with family and friends. Both with spending time at home just relaxing and catching up on things and going out shopping with friends.

My outfit today, being Easter Sunday I wore a grey jumper as it is still cold here in England at the moment, that has a bunny on it. I had to wear today obviously. With it I kept it simple (and warm) with some dark wash skinny jeans.

And that was my outfit.

I hope you enjoyed.

OOTD: going to the gym

Going to the gym has been a part of my life for almost a year and a half now but not something I have talked about much on my blog. Mainly just because I didn’t really think to, but today I have decide to do a blog post on what I wore to the gym. As work out wear is one of my favourite things of working out if I’m honest.

For my outfit I wore my favourite gym leggings, finding a good pair of workout legging was something I had struggled with but I love these from Nike. I wore a usa pro black sports bra which is a favourite of mine. Over that I wore a pink top from Nike as I loved the colour.

And that completes my outfit.

I hope you enjoyed

Pastel Pink Nails

Spring is here and it is currently sunny and warm outside, in England can you believe it! Due to this I was in a very summery mood, this reflected on my choice in colours when I got my nails done this morning. As always I got shellac put on my natural nails.

I went for a pale pink with pink glitter and stones, my favourite part is the half and half detail on the ring finger with stones in the middle. I have not had that before and love how it looks.

I always feel in spring and summer I go for more ‘pretty’ colours, by that I mean pastels and more colours that I would consider my favourite e.g. lilac, mint green and pale pink rather than dark reds and navy.

Any way enough babbling here they are

I hope you like them as much as I do and let me know what your favourite colour to have your nails is?

London Travel Blog – Day 3

This was the final day of the London trip. Firstly we packed up and dropped off our suitcases at the train station so we didn’t have to carry them around all day, as we decided to take the later train back to get another day. Once we dropped our suitcases off we went down the King Cross station to see platform 9 and 3/4, as a Harry Potter fan from a very young age I was very excited to see it, from there I got a keyring to go on my car keys.

We then took the tube again (I couldn’t get enough) to the Tower bridge as Eve and myself have been to London a couple of times throughout the years but have never been to see Tower Bridge and what is that side of London.

It was such a lovely day it felt like a summer’s day we got very lucky there. Of course we walked over Tower bridge it was beautiful, had some chips by the river and had good walk around. Due to the warm sunny weather we did spend most of the afternoon walking around outside making the most of it. Before we went back however we did go shopping (again) from this trip I got a blouse from Zara for work which is very pretty. Then had some dinner and headed to the train station to go home. We were both very sad that our holiday was over, but at the same time I was ready to go back and see Lily of course.

That finishes of my London travel blog series I hope you enjoyed.

London Travel Blog – Day 2

Day 2 was a very busy day. We started by going to Madame Tussaud’s in the morning, I have never been there before and we were both very excited to go there. To get there from our hotel we were staying at we went on the Tube, now I didn’t think much of it before going to London, however it was one of the highlights of the trip for me, as I have never been on the underground before. Safe to say I definitely looked like a tourist that day as had no idea what I was doing but I had a fun time.

After a fun little ride on the underground we got to Madame Tussaud’s and got to look around, I had a lot of fun taking funny photos with the figures as you can see below.

Also we went on the spirit of London ride there which did the history of London and I loved and we went in the 4D cinema! 4D it was so cool I never done that before and can’t even explain it really.

After Madame Tussaud’s we went for a stroll around Hyde park which was very pretty and relaxing to get some fresh air, we then went down to Oxford Street to do some shopping.

On the evening we went for dinner at TGI Fridays, the food was very good and discovered a new favourite restaurant.

And the finishes off day 2 of my London adventure.

London Travel Blog – Day 1

Earlier this week on Tuesday 28th March me and my best friend Eve got on a train and traveled down to London to stay on holiday for a few days. I will say I was very excited as I haven’t gone on a holiday  for quite a few years, because of this I was also very nervous (was sure I forgot something).

We got there and check into our hotel in the early afternoon which was good as we still had time to make the most of the rest of the day. Once we got all unpacked we set off on what was meant to be a little walk around to get our bearing, but turned into a full site seeing trip (we got carried away). We saw the London eye, Buckingham Palace and Big Ben. We also walked across the bridge where the attack happened only the week before, it was so moving to see all the flowers and messages left along there.

After our little site seeing adventure we went to Ripley’s Believe it or not. Ripley’s was so good we were shocked of how big and how much there was to look at there! I will admit I did get a little scared in parts (but I get scared easily). Also that evening we popped into M&M world again I was not expecting it to be so big (4 floors!), but loved it so much chocolate.

After all of this we went back to the room to rest up for tomorrows adventure.

OOTD: Movie Night

Last night after work my bestie and I went to the cinema to see Beauty and the Beast! It is safe to say we were very excited to go and see this movie we both have loved Disney since we were little kids.

Of course the film did not disappoint if you haven’t already seen it I highly recommend it, it was the best film I have seen in a while. The film was such a feel good film where you leave in a good mood, which I love (not a fan of scary films). Got to say I had to try really hard not to sing along to the song throughout as they were so catchy. Being as when I was younger I never saw this Disney film, shocking I know, I didn’t know what to expect other than the basic plot. So I wouldn’t be able to say how it compared to the original but loved it.

Below is the outfit I decided to wear to the cinema.

For my outfit I wore my grey skinny jeans with my over the knee boots both from New Look, and my black jumper with roses on the shoulder which is from Asda George.

Spring Nails

Last weekend I had a nail appointment, and because it is March and it is making me excited for Spring I switched out the usual darker colours for nude nails.

Nude nails are my favourite, I love how they look and I paired it with gold glitter. I love the idea that me and the lovely lady doing my nails came up with, with one nail with glitter on and then it just on the tip of one of the others. As you can see below.

These nails and the slightly warmer weather (I wore sunglasses for the first time this week!) is making me so happy and ready for Spring, which is one of my favourite seasons. Due to the sunny weather and pretty flowers, it is also my cats Lily’s favourite as well as it is warmer when she goes outside to play.

Hair care: 2017

Hair care is one of those things that I haven’t really talked about on this blog before, but is something I have become without even realising very interested in. I am currently trying to get my hair in good condition and hoping for it to grow a little bit more. Due to this I am always trying to try new products to try and find new favourites, so here are my current favourite products that I am using.

Current hair care products I am loving

For shampoo and conditioner, these are the products that actually inspired this whole blog post as I have finally found a ‘no frizz’ shampoo and conditioner that works for me. My hair is straight ish but gets very frizzy which I don’t like, but this actually helps. I have been using is the John Frieda Frizz ease flawlessly straight.

For hair masks I use the Aussie 3 minute miracle. I have loved this one for a while actually and use it about once a week. As well as this I also use an hair oil in the ends of my hair also about once a week, but not on the same day as the mask. The hair oil I use is the Avon rapid rescue hair serum as I am trying to keep my hair in some what good condition.

Before I dry my hair or style it using heat tools in general use the Tresemme heat defence spray, this has been a favourite of mine for years.

This concludes the hair care products I am currently using, I try not to use too many products and have too many steps, just for the reason that I know I won’t keep up with it.
